Update: I spoke with the owner today and I was told my down payment was based on the vehicle I had chosen. I did not choose that vehicle but was told by an employee that he could put me in it for $1500 down so I accepted. The employee came back and said I was approved by the bank for a vehicle of $16,000 or less. I paid the $1500 put insurance on the vehicle and and signed paper work. After that I was told that I need to bring a bank statement and my check stub so my paper worked could be released. Now he's saying I was never approved. So someone is lying about the situation. If I was already approved by the bank with 1500 down signed papers and put insurance on the vehicle why was I asked for $500 more dollars after the fact?
