On April 27, 2011 I lost almost everything I owned in the tornado and they would not give me my pet deposit back. My house was destroyed so they had no reason to hold it. I should have taken them to court but I was busy putting my life back together to worry about it. $300 would have gone a long way in helping me her back on my feet but this is a testament that they are not a compassionate business.
They send out late fees in excess of 20% of the monthly rent.
I lived at The Gates at Cedar Crest for over a year and absolutely loved it. I had a great experience with the staff. My unit was immaculate at move in and management was always responsive. The amazing sunset views from my balcony were just a bonus. The only reason I moved was because I purchased a home. I highly recommend H.A. Edwards and The Gates to others.
Great service and great people! Great place to rent from but they also do property management if you have a place you'd like to rent out.
Extremely unsafe, I sure as hell wouldn't let my daughter stay here.
Unsafe and problematic.
Looked into getting an apartment with them due to the fact that I'll be working at Hunt for an extended period of time. The staff is nice to your face, usually. I heard them talk about their leasies almost immediately after they walk out of the office. Terrible to do but even worse to do in front of non coworkers like myself. I couldn't believe the things they were joking about. That's honestly when they lost me. Looked at a few apartments, Charles & Monica were friendly but one younger girl that works the front was just not very pleasant to deal with. Wouldn't look me in the eye the entire time I had to converse with her. Glad I didn't get a place to end my story. I have a couple different friends having some mold issues in Quail Valley (not where I was looking) and H.A. Won't properly fix it and is trying to muscle them into staying in their lease. Needless to say, I'm glad I'll be staying where I ended up.
Nothing is maintined, I even had a strange individual sleeping in my apartment one night because maintenance came by and did not lock the door when they left.
