Since my group were fleeing Florida, any port in the storm would work. I hope that this doesn't sound negative. If so, here are some positives: Staff was courteous and helpful. We were safe and secure. During check-in, the front desk made it possible for my mom to get a ground floor room since she is in a walker. Nice beds.Great A/C and TV. Great value! Thank you for helping us!
My husband and I stopped here after driving all day. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Disgusting doesn’t even describe it. Hair was all over the bed and dirt and paint chips on the floor like someone tried to break in the door. The guy at the front desk was very nice and let us switch rooms. No much better, the bed was like sleeping on the floor and the shower was leaking all over the bathroom floor. This place needs a remodel ASAP! Do not stop here when traveling through Tuscaloosa!
The front desk workers were very nice! But the room was not as clean as I would have liked. They do take pets, but even with that, it should have been cleaner. It needs a good once a month cleaning under beds, light switches, over doors, etc. I know that the everyday maids don't have time to detail, but after years of uses..... The water in the sink and shower would go from hot to old to warm every time we used them. Door bolt and screws were loose. The door was loose and had no security bar. The faucet was loose in the shower.
I checked in on December 21,2017 I first walked in I felt welcomed, I wanted a room near the office, and the placed me almost to the end in the back, facing the pool, the room was not clean, the sink was stopped up, but December 22 2017 they moved me to another room, and things changed from 227 to 267 it was huge difference, room 267 was awesome! That's how a room should be, whoever cleaned that room did a great job, everything looked great, and thehead housekeeper Shawn her name she was very, very great. She went out her way to make me comfortable. I can say the people that worked today they made me a very happy customer, and Shawn and the young lady that cleaned room 267 deserve a raise, or some kind of comadation, please thank them for me, and all they have done to make me stay feel like home. Thank you Motel 6 staff. P. S The rest of them need to learn, and need to invest in more towels because room 227 had nothing, no towels, and tissue, room looked a mess, compared to 267, which turned out to be a great room.
Although it wasn't the most updated place we have ever stayed...the stay was nice. We stayed 2 nights there for the Alabama/ Tennessee game. The front desk receptionists were great. Anything we needed they were more than happy to assists us. I do wish the showers were bigger and had micros and a refrigerator in the rooms. All in all I would stay here again
