After reading a lot of negative reviews I thought I'd want to leave the la quinoa inn but i actually had a nice stay here. Carpets could use a good cleaning but the front desk hospitality was amazing.Free breakfast was also fine. Overall I'd stay here again.
I didn’t want to write this review… But after waiting close to a month to get this matter resolved with corporate, they decided to do nothing about it, so I will describe my situation to let the public know about this place and how the corporate office treats their customers.
Stay away if you can . First of all it looks run down . People hanging around that are not customers . The door to the room looks like it been kick in . The door jam had been repaired . The plumbing didn't work and the bathroom floor was sticky like an old movie theater. Beds where worn out and the linen was old . What really set off the alarms was when we walked to the grocery store next door . They had a armed guard was bullet proof vest on standing by the cash register. Last time I've seen that was in Johannesburg south africa.
I arrived and was given a room on the second floor. Upon entering my room, I saw that it was mostly clean and decided to close my eyes and sleep, but during the early morning, I had this intense itching situation on my entire body and quickly strung up from my bed to discover that my entire body is covered in welts.
So I paid almost 300 dollars for a night stay. Online pictures looked like a very nice hotel. However my first room had black mold on bathroom ceiling, and bed room. The next room has a guy outside smoking weed. Last chance there was roaches and moldie beds. We left and went to super 8. Was much better.
Sheets were either dirty or stained - this was a big deal for me. The workers were very friendly and check in/out was super smooth and easy.
TD;LR: Found bedbugs in the room; corporate decides to do nothing about it.
I looked on the mattress and saw that there was BEDBUGS on the mattress. (See pictures attached). I picked up the mattress and saw that there was hundreds of them underneath!
We couldn't get out of there fast enough .
I immediately went to the front desk person and informed them that the mattress was filled with bedbugs but she didn’t want to do anything about it and asked if I just wanted another room. I told her to not go through that trouble and proceeded to leave and go elsewhere.
In conclusion, I am disgusted with the way this was handled. This company does not value human life and only values the almighty dollar. Please don’t stay here if you value your life and sanity.
We went back to the room and looked the place up . I found there was many police reports connected with this place. Kidnapping, rape, robbery, drug dealing and prostitution. The doors to the rooms are on the outside making it easy for criminals to kick the door in . There was a sign stating there was security but we saw none .
I called the corporate office in the morning and they were apologetic and said that “This does not happen in our chain of hotels; we will work with you to get this matter resolved”. I told them my entire story and forward them all of the photos that I have taken of that night and they said that they will get back to me once the claims have been processed. They said that they had sent an inspector out to inspect the room and said that they couldn’t find anything even though I sent them photographic evidence with timestamps and GPS coordinates showing WHERE I TOOK THE PHOTO.
