Employees cannot make a decision to give us another room without the managers approval but they can't find a manager... Anywhere...
Finally got a room... "Upgraded" us to a double queen... Lol... One bed food of the frame if you sit too far to the right of the bed... And check out the picture of the lighting fixture in the bathroom.... Missing three of the five bulbs.. in a really rusty fixture!!! You can guess... The rest of the room is the same...
Absolutely horrible! Over an hour and we've still not been able to check in. Office is locked and rude comments from the employees from behind locked doors.
Once they finally open the door, they explained it was shift change and they can't handle customers during a shift change..
This is so bad, all we can do is laugh... But I seriously hope that this saved somebody else this pain....
I attempted to contact corporate office..I had to leave an email.... Guess they left early for the day also.. No response
$230/night!! This place is disgusting. Carpet has huge, dark stains all over it. It stunk like smoke and feet. Sheets were dirty. Comforter was was totally filthy. Couch was so repugnant we wouldn't even sit on it. No shower curtain. No shower mat. We had to use one towel as a shower mat and the front office (and the national headquarters) would not give us another to shower with (you get one and have to do your own laundry if you need it cleaned). fixtures were falling off the wall. Bed was uncomfortable. I'm not even going to comment on the pull out bed. This place would have been a rip off $50/night. Talk about price gouging for the Alabama homecoming. Do not stay here!!!
I've been traveling pretty much my whole life for work and I actually stayed at this hotel probably about 6 months ago and I meant to leave a review. I promise the manager Frank I would leave a review he was wonderful very great to deal with, there was a young lady also who was the office manager who is just simply a joy. I couldn't believe the price and the cleanliness, I was probably here for about a month and a half and fell in love with the city of Tuscaloosa and thank you for the Stay Inn house Suites.
I write this from the waiting area... Still without a room... Really really sad...
My overall stay was perfect. Staff was courteous and understanding that I was arriving after 9pm. Just an amazing experience. I will definitely be staying again.
Not nothing like it used to be,3 years ago I would have given this place a 5 star,Up front is still nice, but no elevator. In back, not clean, stair Wells are awful. Very rude about given out extra things if your there a week or longer. I visited a friend and they had no garbage can,had to go buy toilet tissue, garbage bags,no hot water.it really was awful.
Then they didn't have a room for us even though we had reservations for months and our names were on there paper list.
