I recently went to the hospital in Tuscaloosa and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. They gave me some pain medicine, told me not to eat anything and to follow up with a doctor in a few days.
He then goes on telling me how the hospital should have kept me there and that there is nothing he can do for me. I understand that this may be true, but he was treating me like a criminal or something. Like it was my fault that the hospital let me go. He then goes on to tell me that I can eat whatever I want, just do it in small meals. Following this advice almost killed me. I was not supposed to eat ANYTHING. I was supposed to be on a liquid diet.
First thing the doctor does is start jamming his fingers into my abdomen. Not just poking around, I mean extremely rough. This made me tense up and he kept yelling at me (Yes, yelling) "Relax your stomach!" "Relax!" "You're not letting me press down enough, you need to relax!" I tried my best to relax but it was never enough apparently because he gave rather frustratedly.
When I asked if he could give me enough pain medicine to get me through until I could afford to get back to the hospital, he asked me what they gave me. I showed him the empty bottle of Norco and he said "This is way to strong of a painkiller. They should have never given you this." Obviously this man has no empathy for the amount of pain I was going through. He then perscribed me something much, much weaker and sent me on my way,
Avoid this place at all costs! Dr. Fawad has no empathy for his patients and treats them like criminals. This man was extremely physically and mentally rough on me. A giant waste of time and money. I have posted my story below if you are interested to read it. There are many other doctors in the area, do not use this clinic if you can avoid it.
