The restaurant was not busy, however the service was very slow. Our waiter was not attentive. We had to ask for drink refills more than once and extra condiments. Two people in our party ordered the grilled chicken tenders. Both orders were over cooked. I gave a two because the shopping in the store was good.
Top food quality as far as Cracker Barrels are concerned.

2. Found a small piece of plastic (wrapping) in the meat.
1. Two nearby tables' food served before us even though they both arrived at least twenty minutes after us.
I am not sure where the breakdown occurred. Our server seemed very competent and very hard working. I was not looking for comped food but felt compelled to let the manager know what happened so these problems can be fixed. He was very inquisitive as to the details so I believe the problems will be investigated and, hopefully, fixed. Again, the quality of the food was some of the best I have ever had at a Cracker Barrel. Mainly because it all was hot. I will not discourage anyone from going to this particular restaurant (Tuscaloosa). In fact, I would recommend this establishment since management was very receptive and interested in determining the root cause(s) of these problems.
GREAT place! I love the shopping choices! The staff in the gift shop was very helpful. Our meal tasted great! Yum! I changed my order slightly by asking for no bacon with my eggs and blueberry syrup. When our order came the changes were not as requested. They brought my syrup right away and my husband ate the bacon. We did have to ask for napkins and a separate glass with ice only in which they promptly brought to us. The place was packed but we were called quickly and as someone else commented on; the food arrived much quicker than any other CB I have ever visited. We will most assuredly be coming in to dine every time we come to a BAMA game!
4. Cornbread didn't arrive until we were almost finished eating.

Good place to eat but definitely not on the go. It is better to call and reserve ahead of time to reduce wait time.
This is my family’s number 1 go to place for a good family time meal. We love it here. The staff “WOW”have gone over and beyond to make our visits special. SUPER GREAT ATMOSPHERE. Just wish I could get Jose sweet potato pancakes year round
3. Did not get vegetables I ordered (other three orders were OK).
