This mental health facility needs more funding and we need more economic development in this town... We're having a brain drain in Tuscaloosa and we need to offer better fiscal incentives for mental health care providers to stay in this town. I don't know what's going on, but this place needs better funding. I am a client of this clinic, and many former employees report how little time they have to manage their patients. I can see the expression in the nurse's face when I enter Indian Rivers- they seem tired, disgruntled and overwhelmed from the lack of funding. If any business men in Tuscaloosa, like Stan Pate, would promote investment and development of this mental health facility for a profitable return, while simultaneously helping Tuscaloosa residents, I will salute you.
Hope you get Dr. Mungara because she is the only competent Doctor there. Overall pretty terrible unless you are lucky.
R.A is the Residential Manager as well as E.E is is Program Coordinator.... Or as I like to call them the lesbians that have no clue as long as their getting all the clients money..
rude. don't listen. the staff has no sympathy. and the physiatrist doesnt even listen to what the patients say
They treat their individuals as a pay check to upper management, you will find your self in their offices getting write up after write up for senseless situations if you're in your introductory period. Don't even try to be Caucasian and expect to be treated equally, they let staff members that have been there forever act in any which way that they want. The coordinators are clueless as well as the residential managers. Their idea of doing work is sitting behind a desk and pushing a pencil all day long and thinking that they know how to handle their clients. I would strongly suggest NOT to work here, fast food would be a better career choice than Indian Rivers.
