I applied for a house with them. I got approved for the house. They approved another person at the same time, I leave work to get the money. When I get to the bank I received a phone call saying I'm sorry the other person brought they money first that was not professional at all if I turn my application in first but I have to race to put a deposit down on a house. I was not pleased at all my 70 dollars wasted on application fees.
Terrible. Property had a previous owner that I originally signed with and then druid city properties took over. They lost my files and didn't give me back my full security deposit because of "burnt out light bulbs" are you kidding me? The deposit was a months worth of rent and I didn't even get half of it back because of burnt out light bulbs??? That's insane. The place originally came with no light bulbs. I had to buy my own. Crooks. Spend the extra money and find a better place.
The owner Richard is a very nice guy. They seem to have a good business and treat people fairly.
I have rented from a lot of property managers in a lot of states, and I have to say Druid City was one of the best people to have rented from by far. I have lived in this property for over a year. Even though pest control was not on the contract they had pests taken care of for me, if something was broken they fixed it within 24 hours-- including one night my water heater acting up and they replaced it before 10am the next day. They are friendly, courteous and even worked with me on finding a place while I was out of the state searching for a house. I can not say enough good things about this company or its friendly employees.
I do not recommend renting from Druid City property rentals. They buy foreclosed houses that need major house renovations; Most of these houses go through a quick fix using the cheapest products. Druid City properties does not care about these properties or these overcrowded neighborhoods. Most of these houses have poor insulation, electrical issues, plumbing issues, rotting and mold issues, & pest infestations(roaches, rats, possums, ants, birds). In the rental contracts they do not offer pest control. Their maintenance team consists of ex-cons and sex offenders. They are only in Tuscaloosa to make a quick buck off the back of their tenants.
