One of the best community colleges in the south.
Literally the worst school ever. The advisors do absolutely nothing to help you. When you call they just tell you what you want to hear and don't help at all. I called last week to make sure everything was in order for me to sign up for classes and I was told yes. This morning I go to sign up and there is a hold on my account keeping from signing up. I missed out on the classes I wanted to take because their staff is incompetent. Highly pissed off right now. Then I could not even get ahold of anyone who could take the hold off
It is a good college, they could do better. They don't have much for academic.Make sure you check out Rate my professor at Shelton State. Some of the professor aren't as good but most of them are awesome.
Great value. A lot of teachers pull duty here and UA. This seems to be a good stepping stone for professors who go on to major Universities. Many seem to genuinely care about their students. Great athletics, with a nationally DOMINANT Dynasty Cheer Team. The baseball program is easily in the top 25 in the nation D1 JUCO.
The admissions staff is inconsiderate and rude. No one really wanted to help me with any questions. This school doesn't accept outside loans but don't offer additional financial assistance to those who less fortunate or don't stay at home with mom and dad. This school is about money to graduate. If you don't have money, you will not get in. I hate Shelton
