TEN days ago I had a mani-pedi with Lucy. My nails are natural. They are STILL chip-free after 10 days. Too bad I was just visiting or she would be my nail tech forever. In addition, I found her to be a very pleasant and interesting person.
I've been to several other salons in the Tuscaloosa area and I have to say that none were as great as Bellagio! I was seen first thing when I walked in (although it was 4pm on a Monday and not very busy). First impression, the space is lovely, clean, and bright and the view of the river is unbeatable! A true luxury spa experience. I got a pedicure and gel manicure and I absolutely LOVED that they had matching colors!! I hate having to get two different colors on my nails because of the gel, but I could get gel on my hands and a matching regular polish on my toes. My nail technician, Hanna, was very friendly and polite and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I felt at ease in the salon, it was very quite and peaceful, no loud TV or talking as I have found in other salons. I could almost fall asleep when she was doing my toes! The result on my nails was fantastic! I rarely get them done, but I wanted to treat myself at the end of the semester and get a nice polish before going home for the Kentucky Derby. When Hanna was done they looked fab!! The price was a bit high, but I was expecting it and honestly it was worth every penny for such great service and quality. If you are looking for a splurge (or just high quality salon service) this is the place to go!
The atmosphere was nice but there was very little interaction between myself and the staff. I arrived and was seated for around 20 min at a pedicure station before they ever started the water. They barely spoke to me and even rolled their eyes at my choice of nail color (a nude shade I chose from THEIR selection). The pedicure was relaxing and looked great for about 3 days before the polish faded and started chipping. I had a gift certificate for this place so that's why I tried them. I will be going back to my other nail salon.
They were incredibly rude to me when I went in to get a fill last week. Ann did my nails and she filed them crooked and was really rough and was hurting me the whole time... it felt really rushed and unfriendly. My nails were literally bleeding the whole day after I left which has never ever happened to me before...I actually have a scab on one of my fingers from this. I do not recommend going here and i definitely will not be going back.
Really pretty atmosphere and great massage chairs. But HORRIBLE service, not respectful to young adults at all. A women was doing my toes and left me to do an older women who came in and I sat there for two hours and eventually left before even getting my nails done. I had to seek out the women to ask to pay and when I did she sighed and said I had to wait. If you are a college student don't go here, they will not treat you with respect.
