The people at the front are absolutely the worst!! I went to get a dog but someone had him out for happy hour and weren't answering the phone, so the people at the front told us to come back but when we did they let the other people adopt him already. unbelievable.
NEGATIVE 10 STARS. They kill animals and are so very rude to humans as well. The shelter smells worse than a shelter should, and it is filthy and full of disease and fleas. DO NOT ADOPT FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A SICK PET THAT WILL DIE WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK. I have never experienced such strong disgust. The staff is so rude and snide, and they all act like they're entitled, when really they have no idea what they're doing. Don't do happy hour either, your clothes or home will be covered in fleas because of the lack of care they provide those poor animals.
I brought in a dog that had been severely abused and neglected by a neighbor, described what had been seen, and was told that if the neighbor came to recover the dog that they would be giving it back to them since it was the owner. The owner's boyfriend legitimately told me that he planned on killing the dog. They would not even make a note on the file that I was reporting the owner's live-in boyfriend as an animal abuser. Absolutely pathetic. When a visitor got to see the dog I am told that its pen was full of urine and feces and that they hadn't even provided it with a bed, just a t shirt to lay on. Truly unbelievable and sad stuff.
I have never come across a staff at an animal shelter that cares less about the well-being of animals. As the poster below me stated, if it wasn't for the fact that this is a kill shelter I would discourage anyone from doing business with them.
I adopted another dog from here today. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the cleanest animal shelter I have seen. And was pleased to see that their "happy hour" program is being used by many.
