I run a small jewelry business and bought over $3000 of sample rings from Benchmark. After the invoice was paid in full the clock started running. After 12 months I had not purchased at least $1000 in merchandise so they closed my account and refuse to refund me for the samples I purchased. THESE ARE SAMPLES THAT HAVE NO RESALE VALUE!!!! Shame on Benchmark. I give them a thumbs down.
So, Benchmark resizes the ring and sends it back. It turns out they had to make a new ring. However, the new ring had no inscription on it. I was pissed. Benchmark never contacted the retailer or myself to let us know they would make an entirely new ring. At the very least, they should have told us that the inscription would be removed and asked if we wanted that. I probably would not have had the ring sent to them in the first place had I known this would happen.
For the amount of money Benchmark charges for their rings, they have a lot to learn about customer service and communication with their consumers. I thought this whole experience was a pain in the ass and I would not recommend Benchmark to anyone looking for a ring. There are PLENTY of other ring companies out there that will at the very least, let you know up front, what costs are and what is covered. As well as contacting you before they destroy a wedding ring and send back a plain one. There was absolutely no excuse for them to not make a phone call about this.
The staff at this place is unbelievable. Terry Harris helped me recover a lost phone found around the area and was extremely helpful. Great overall costumer service.
So the retailer decided to help me out. They luckily wrote down the inscription prior to sending the ring off to Benchmark. The retailer is now eating the cost of inscribing the ring for me, back to what was originally on it. I was so grateful for this, that is an example of customer service that goes above and beyond.
So I have a Benchmark men's band wedding ring. It was bought from an approved retailer where I used to live. My wife had the ring engraved by the retailer. Over the last three years, my finger size has dropped and I needed to get the ring resized. I went to the closest approved retailer for Benchmark, since I had moved. They said they would have to ship the ring off to Benchmark and since it was registered, it should be a free charge.
